Choose a palette. Try something simple to start with.

I’m going for a complementary orange and blue with a little black for contrast.

We settle in for about 90 minutes of work. Chairs, hats and easels make it comfortable.

Lunch at Marshall Gulch with a look at and talk about morning work and prep. for afternoon. We are in a  pine forest and the light is constantly shifting on us. It’s pretty tricky but the afternoon work is fantastic. This environment is so different from the desert floor, nice change.
